DURA has developed a series of high-activity oxidative driers as replacements for conventional cobalt driers to meet the increased demands for regulatory compliance. These Manganese-based and Iron-based driers utilize unique patented technology to specifically achieve high activity at low metal concentrations, which results in equivalent film dry-times and hardness development but with significantly improved whiteness/color retention when compared to the results with standard cobalt driers. The improved performance is a result of increased crosslink density of the dried film. These driers are available for both solventborne and waterborne systems.
